How to switch between PADS releases

How to switch between PADS releases when they are installed to different target locations* V5 p# ~) t" [' s6 p

+ c5 |8 b/ ^3 ~, X( }/ Z! gThe recommended approach is to always install PADS releases into the same target location (by default C:\MentorGraphics). By doing so the only step to switch releases is to run the "MGC SDD Configurator" from the Start Menu ("Mentor Graphics SDD" folder).

In cases where PADS releases are installed to different installation targets, there is an additional step required to successfully switch releases. Follow the instructions below.1 U* Q: p* w( w. l7 ]! y
Procedure for switching between PADS releases:; l. ~0 [5 Z0 ]# W- B9 a0 D/ C

The following sample data will be used to demonstrate the switching procedure. Adjust the PADS releases and target locations as necessary.
5 `) a, W+ P9 c( f, E1 JPADS9.3.1 is installed to "C:\Program Files\Mentor Graphics"
$ F% _( m! l2 H* U8 IPADS9.4 is installed to "C:\MentorGraphics" (recommended location)
